In Battlefield 2142 you can get four types of Awards. One of the categories is the Medal category. Getting a medal is usually an incredibly difficult task, with the exception of a few. Some medals can be awarded multiple times. The in one round requirement cannot be completed unless the Global requirement is fulfilled prior to the beginning of the current round.

Medals, unlike Badges, Ribbons and Pins do not give you any career points. On the bright side, they represent an incredible amount of dedication on the receiver's part.
